Coach Core graduation ceremony at St James’s Palace

The first Coach Core graduation ceremony took place at St James’s Palace last week. Create’s Director of Innovation for PE and Sport, John Parsons, was proud to attend and meet Prince Harry and NBA star Carmelo Anthony, from the New Yorks Knicks.

A total of 33 young apprentices completed their year-long Coach Core course, a sports programme which trains disadvantaged young people to become professional sports coaches. The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry created the programme back in 2012, which is run in partnership with Greenhouse Charity and Glasgow Life. Create Development were privileged to design a key part of the Coach Core programme content and deliver training to the apprentices.

We’d like to wish the graduates a very successful and bright future. It’s been a pleasure working with every one of you.
