It is increasingly recognised that high quality teaching and learning in PE and Sport focuses on the development of the whole child. This approach provides greater possibilities for more young disabled children to flourish while, for those perceived to be the most able, adopting a ‘multi-ability’ approach will help them maximise their potential and develop as more rounded athletes and individuals. This course explores what this looks like in practice and supports the teacher in developing a more holistic, effective approach to teaching PE and Sport, with a particular focus on the effective inclusion of young disabled people.
