It is essential to provide an environment where Foundation Stage children can develop the Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) they need to move confidently and maximise their physical potential. Without developing these skills at an early age, children’s future relationship with physical activity and sport will be adversely affected.
First FUNS
By the end of the course:
- All delegates will be able to use the First FUNS resource.
- All delegates will be able to explain what FMS are and why they are essential for Foundation Stage children.
- Most delegates will be able to select a range of activities to improve the FMS of Foundation Stage children.
