Summer Schools

Aimed at: Transition from Key Stage 2 (KS2) to Key Stage 3 (KS3)

The Summer Schools programme is funded by the Department for Education to support disadvantaged pupils in making a successful transition to secondary school. The deadline for funding applications is 29th May 2015 – see below for details on how to apply.

Funding is used to deliver a one or two-week school based programme to develop the key Personal, Social, Cognitive and Creative skills of pupils to ensure they begin secondary school as happy, confident learners who believe they can achieve. This has a significant impact on attendance, behaviour and achievement.
