We’re delighted to announce that our first real Coaching training events went down a storm.
real Coaching supports coaches to gain a deeper understanding of the developing child and to align coaching habits in order to develop a truly child centered approach. The programme consists of four foundation modules that support all coaches and volunteers working with 4-11 year olds to create and develop essential learning behaviours.
In August, we held our first two Tutor training events in London and the Midlands. Representatives from County Sport Partnerships (CSPs), local authorities and education institutions were in attendance to begin their real Coaching journeys.
In addition, coaches from Oxfordshire undertook their first two modules of real Coaching on their journey to create positive relationships with physical activity for life. Brought to life by John Parsons and Tim Dancer, the programme introduced the coaches to the unique approaches of real Coaching and explored the amazing supporting resources available for the development of Fundamental Movement Skills and the whole child. Funded by Oxfordshire Sport & Physical Activity (the CSP), these coaches will be working with 4-11 year olds across the county.
